Lula Jeffcoat Gantt Padgett, 96, of Livingston, died Thursday, November 15, 2007.
Funeral plans will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at Salem Baptist Church near North, with the Rev. Rex Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Padgett was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Wesley Pope and Lula Florence Sturkie Jeffcoat. She was a retired seamtress. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by a son, Linwood Gantt Sr.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ruby Merl and Bill Lowther of Livingston; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lowther, 1506 Silverspring Road, Livingston.
