MARION -- E.J. "Bob" Ray, 89, died May 10, 2008. He was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Severy,to John and Vergie (Day) Ray. He was a retired farmer/stockman. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Dave Jackson; and five siblings. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude, of the home; two daughters, Vicki Jackson and Cheryl Ray, both of Marion; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Valley United Methodist Church, Marion, Pastor X. Phil Smith officiating. Interment: 2 p.m. in Piedmont Cemetery, Piedmont.
