MAX E. ANDREWS

MAX E. ANDREWS, 78, formerly of Decatur, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011. Born Aug. 7, 1932, he was the son of to True (Tabby) and Elsie Andrews. He was a Petty Officer Gunner's Mate in the U.S. Navy and later retired from International Harvester with over 30 years of service. His hobbies were reading and politics. After moving to California, he and his wife enjoyed watching the Lakers. He leaves behind a very loving and devoted wife, Marilyn Andrews of Placentia, Calif.; daughter, Linda (Paul) Patterson of Yorbia Linda Calif.; sons, Steven (Karen) Andrews of Ossian and Barry ( Angele) Andrews of Chino Hills Calif.; seven grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Barbara) and Robert; and sister, Betty (Ray) Johnson. Funeral arrangements are pending. Published in Fort Wayne Newspapers on March 1, 2011.

California, a former Decatur resident who died on February
27, will be held at 1 p.m. this Saturday at New Beginnings
Faith Center in Decatur, with Pastor Floyd Vieth officiating.
Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Burial will be in MRE
Cemetery, rural Berne. ​
Preferred memorials are to the Color Guard at American
Legion Post 43 in Decatur.
