Born December 2, 1918 in Hopewell, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Anna Madden and Marion Bostick. Moving to Clinton Township with his mother and family in 1941. Here he met and married Gena Smith in 1944.
Mr Counts was an inspector for the Ford Motor Company, Rouge Plant, from which he retired June 30, 1981. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Vinson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where he served on Usher Board #1 and a member of Ben T. Powell Elks Lodge of Clinton Township.
He leaves to mourn his loss; a devoted wife, Gena, 2 sons, Bruce of Detroit and Linwood of Orlando, Fla., a daughter, Juanita Washington of Detroit, 10 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services Held at Vinson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church Saturday, December 5, 1981 at 2:00 p.m.; Rev. Shedwrick Miller, Minister.
