Thomas C. Mothershead
Thomas C. Mothershead, son of the late John and Anna Mothershead, was born January 31, 1869, and departed this life August 22, 1950, at the home of a daughter Mrs. Nannie Bowman, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 22 days. he was married to Mary Thurmond in 1893 and six children were born of this union. Mrs. Mothershead preceded him in death in 1944. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Nannie Bowman; Mrs. Myrtle Capehart, and Mrs. Margie Williams, all of St. Clair, and Mrs. Pearl Burnett of Union; two sons Charles of Sullivan and Elbert of St. Clair; four sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law, 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, August 24th from the Casey and Lenox Funeral Home to Prospect Baptist Church at 2pm. Elder S.F. Burnett officiating. Interment was in church cemetery.
