Funeral for Herbert Franklin Elder Sr., 71, of 1976 W Hardee Ave., Chamblee, was held at Oglethorpe Hill, with the Rev. Forrest King officiating. Burial was in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Elder, a retired butcher, died Monday. He was a member of Brookhaven Methodist Church.
Surviving are the widow, the former Mary Robinson; daughters, Mrs. H. L. McFarland of Mobile, Mrs. H. W. Dressler of Pasadena, Tex., and Mrs. J. W. Brooks of Atlanta, and sons, L. E. Leonard of Doraville and C. E. Leonard and D. S. Leonard, both of Chamblee.
