Burial followed in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reed died at 12:40 p.m. Saturday September 13, 1986 in the Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 4, 1903 in Cundiff, TX and married Hermon Reed May 27, 1920 in Bridgeport, TX. Mr. Reed preceded her in death May 29, 1966.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church and the Homemakers Sunday School Class. She moved to Crosby County October 13, 1937 from Bridgeport.
Survivors include one son, W.H. (Buster) Reed of Lubbock; three daughters, Mrs. J.W. (Velma Ruth) Wood of Crosbyton, Mrs. Joe (Herma Loy) Farris of Lubbock, Mrs. Duane (Roberta Dell) McClure of Amarillo; three sisters, Estelle Prestridge, Ila Dell McNew, Maxine Baird, all of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great grandchild preceded in death at birth.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
