Mrs. Minnie Youngk, wife of Henry W. Youngk, died at their home in Green Twp., at about 5:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 1904, aged 26 years, 3 months and some days.
Mrs. Youngk was a daughter of William and Mary Ikenburg, and was born and grew to womanhood on the family homestead in Kingsley Twp. About five weeks ago she became ill, her ailment resulted in peritonitis, which resulted in her death.
On Sept. 17, 1902, she became the wife of Mr. Youngk, who with her aged mother and five sisters and four brothers survive: as follows, Mrs. S. J. Sutley, Tionesta; Mrs. W. S. Sutley, Ross Run; Mrs. Edward Dowoody, Nebraska; Mrs. Rosa Ebert, Glenshaw; Mrs. Flora Cashdollar, T. S. and Adam, home; and Harry, Valencia, all of Pa.; and William, residing in California.
The burial took place in the Zuendel cemetery on German Hill, Sunday afternoon. Rev. R. A. Zahniser conducted the funeral services, the body being followed to its last resting place by a very large concourse of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Youngk was an exemplary Christian woman, greatly esteemed by all who knew her, and to the bereaved husband and friends the sympathy of the community goes out in sincere sorrow.
