Wyman Dean Blevins was born on March 30, 1921 in Haskew, Oklahoma on the day the Salt Springs Bank was robbed; he was the son of Walter Clyde and Edna Elizabeth (Gregory) Blevins. He attended Sunnyslope school and graduated from Freedom High School. He attended trade school in Enid. Wyman enlisted in the U.S. Army and landed in Normandy right after D-Day, serving in the European Theatre during WWII. While in Belgium he became friends with a family to whom he gave clothing and food before his departure from the war. This family continued this friendship for many years. Twenty five years later the Blevins Family returned to Belgium to visit them. .

After service he returned to the Haskew Commuity fo farm. In 1946, he purchased a service station and garage in Mooreland. ON February 1, 1946, he was married to Janet Louise Knittel in Mooreland. They made their home in Morreland. Wyman and Janet also had the Tag Agency at the station. In 1956 they sold the station and moved to Liveberal, Kansas where he worked as a automobile salesman for the Ford Agency then later worked for the Chevrolet Agency. Wyman worked for Ferguson Ford in Woodward as a salesman for thirty years and then worked for Laubhan Motor Company for three years before retiring. He then worked on the family farm with his brother and mother until retiring in 1991..

All of his life he was an accomplished musician playing Western Swing music. He had bands around Northwest Oklahoma all of his younger life. He continued playing music throughout his life. .
