Blanche Amelia Sigafose Baur Keene, My Grandmother use to always call me her little Buckeroo, that is how I got my aka.,Bucky. I can remember as a small child always being around my Grandmother. She lived in Penn, PA.I spent a lot of time there while growing up. We even lived there for a period of time when we had no place to live, part of 4th and 5th grade, 1947-48. My Mom had 9 kids and everyone can remember my Grandmothers place in Penn which we always called the country. I can remember there were always a lot of people living with my grandmother. Her children were there with thier families. She always seemed to have room for us. My brothers and sisters spent most of thier summer vacations with her and it was always a sad time when we had to go back to school in Pittsburgh. I will always remember my Grandmother Keene as a woman who gave me everything she could with what little she had. She lived long enough to see me graduate High School and join the U S Army in 1956. She died that fall. I will probably never figure how to spell her maiden name SIGAFOSE, I have found it spelled 7 different ways. I love YOU Grandma, your BUCKEROO.
