Death Of Grenville Shepherd

Edward Grenville Shepherd, 38, of Sharon died at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital following an illness of several months. The son of the late George S. Shepherd and Lucy (Lewis) Shepherd, he was born October
4, 1913 in Sharon. For the past 10 years Mr. Shepherd had resided at Sharon where he engaged in dairying and saw milling. Prior to that he had lived at Montpelier two years, and in Liberty. Active in the L. D. S. Church, he
was the second counselor of the Sharon Ward bishopric at time of death. He and Julia Gerber were married September 16, 1939 in Logan, Utah.
Besides his widow, he is survived by four children, all at home, Julie, Raymond George, Edward and Russell Shepherd,four brothers, J. Farrell and William George, both of Ogden, Todd Matthews Shepherd, now serving as a missionary for the L. D S. Church in England, and Kay M. Shepherd TA, U S. Navy, who left Salt Lake City Friday to board ship at San Francisco. Also surviving are his step-mother, Mrs. George E. (Edna) Shepherd, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. E. T. Shepherd of Payson, Utah.
Services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday in the Liberty Ward Chapel.
The Matthews Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
