Funeral services for Danny Lewis, 64, of Levelland will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland, Texas with Keith Stafford and Frank George, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home. He died Thursday, July 1, 2010 in Levelland, Texas.
Born on September 1, 1945 to Daniel Thomas and Ruby Hess Lewis, he resided on the plains of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico all of his life. He taught auto diesel mechanics at South Plains College and operated Danny Lewis Automotive in Levelland. He married Sheryl Cummings Crawford on May 1, 1970 in Littlefield, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father and by a daughter, Sherry Kay Lewis.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryl Lewis of Levelland, Texas; his children: Debbie Huddleston of Belton, Texas, Danny Boy Lewis of Richmond, Texas; Dana Davis of Abilene, Texas; Stephen Cummings of Littlefield, Texas, Jennifer Featherston of Hugoton, Kansas; Cassandra Featherston of Henderson, Texas, Kristin Vargas of Whitharral, Texas and Kyle Hysmith of Levelland, Texas; his sisters: Gwena Sears of Redding, California; Kay Schappell of Lakehead, California; and Cathy Lewis of Alameda, California; and a brother: David Massey of Antioch, California and thirteen great grandchildren.
