Nellie E. Hardesty, 86, passed away in 1972, Webb City, Jasper Co., MO. She was born in 1886 in Kansas to her parents Thomas J. and Mary B. (Campbell) Hardesty. From all records available it would appear that Nellie remained single and resided with her parents until their deaths in 1946 and 1947. Nellie filed their death reports and signed them Miss Nellie Hardesty. No record has been found of siblings for Nellie; however, in a Jasper County, MO 1920 Census there was a five-year-old boy named Rufus residing in the home with Thomas, Mary, and Nellie Hardesty.
Burial was made in Mount Hope Cemetery, where her parents also are laid in rest.
