Funeral to Be Held at Kivett's Baptist
Church - Death Was Caused by Apoplexy
Liberty, April 20. - Funeral for George R. Williams, prominent retired farmer of Randolph county, who was stricken with apoplexy suddenly Tuesday afternoon, will be held at Kivett's Baptist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. T. F. Andrews in charge. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
For the past 28 years Mr. Williams has served as a justice of the peace and for more than 40 years was secretary of Kivett's Baptist church, of which he was a member.
His death occurred while he was on his way to list his taxes at Liberty. He underwent a serious operation about three months ago, but apparently had fully recovered.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Lonnie P. and Wesley B. Williams of Liberty; four daughters, Mrs. C. T. Burgess and Mrs. W. S. Cox, of Ramseur; Mrs. S. M. Siler, of Apopka, Fla., and Miss Verla Williams, of Liberty, and one brother, H. M. Williams, of Asheboro.

Liberty, April 20. - Funeral for George R.
