Allen Willey was born by about 1603 (based on date of marriage). He married at Saleby, Lincolnshire, 15 May 1628 Alice Mason. A husbandman, he brought his family from Saleby, Lincolnshire to Massachusetts Bay in 1634 (based on admission to Boston church on 2 November 1634) & settled at Boston. He died by 1637. His widow married (2) by 1637 THOMAS MARSHALL {1634, Boston}. "Alice wife of Deacon Thomas Marshall" died at Boston on 20 May 1664."
Thomas Marshall, who married the widow of Allen Tilley, was from Alford, Lincolnshire, a parish immediately adjacent to Saleby, and so the two families may have been acquainted while in old England.
No connection has been found with Isaac Willey who appeared in Boston by 1640.
