Mrs. Catherine Manning died on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock at her home in Highville. Deceased was in the eighty-eighth year of her age and death was due to infirmities incident to old age. She was a member of the United Evangelical church at Creswell. The surviving children are Mrs. Cyrus Gontner and Albert A. Manning, of Highville. One sister, Fannie Kauffman, of this city, also survives, as do six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. (The Lancaster Examiner - Jan 21, 1911)
