Mendon--Iduma Willie King, 96, Logan, died Sept. 18, 1980, in a Mendon nursing home.

She was born Aug. 26, 1884, to William Pettit and Mary Ann Hunsaker Willie. She spent her early life in Mendon and attended Mendon schools.

She married William Farnes King October 28, 1903, in Logan. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He died November 14, 1970.

In 1909 she, her husband and other relatives purchased a homestead at Buist, Idaho, and helped to settle the community. They moved to Logan in 1934.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served as organist for the Primary and Relief Society, was president of the YWMIA, secretary of the Relief Society and a visiting teacher of the Logan 7th Ward for 37 years.

Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Vernon (Vera) Bindrup, Ogden; William Ronald King, Providence; Mrs. Clarence (Glenna) Austin, and Mrs. Marvin (Ina) Davies, both of Logan; George Max King, Malad; Owen Leslie King, Pocatello, Idaho; Melvin Grant King, Ogden, and Mrs. Alma (Mary) Lawrence, Summit; 48 granchildren, 122 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Two children preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Mortuary chapel with Bishop Wesley J. Norton conducting. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services.

Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.

Iduma "Doorme" Hunsaker Willie King is the mother-in-law of my 7th cousin Clarence Waddoups Austin (Barber Line). Rest in the Peace of Our Lord.
