FLOYD CLAUSON OF BEE RIDGE DIED AT 76, AND WAS BURIED THERE SUNDAY

Victor Floyd Clauson of the Bee Ridge Community and a large landowner and an active farmer all his life, died at 7:40 o'clock Friday evening, June 10, 1960, at the age of 76 years. Death came at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy. He had not been well for two and a half years.

Funeral services were at 5:15 o'clock Sunday in the chapel of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina conducted by the Rev. David Kinnard of Quincy and the Rev. Raymond Lindsey of Knox City, pastor of the Methodist Church there. Burial was in the cemetery at Bee Ridge, Mr. Clauson having been an ardent worker of the Methodist Church at Bee Ridge. His early schooling was at the Center Ridge country school, Quincy High School and later attended the Gem City Business College in Quincy. He and Mrs. Clauson both attended the Normal or Teachers College in Kirksville. They celebrated their golden wedding in 1957.

Mrs. Clauson and a daughter, Louise, Mrs. John Miller and three grandchildren are left; also two sisters, Grace, Mrs. William P. Marshall, and Thelma, Mrs. W.L. Eyman.

Victor Floyd Clauson, a son of the late Chaney and Charlotte Elizabeth Ellison Clauson was born May 14 1884, on a farm on Bee Ridge, on which he lived his entire life. He was married October 14, 1907 in Knox City to Miss Clara Belle McKay. To them were born three children, two sons having died in infancy.

Mr. Clauson, a member of the Masonic Lodge of Edina, was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia, Mrs. C.E. McKay, and a brother, Guy E. Clauson.
