MRS. LYDIA KATHERINE SCHMIDGALL

Mrs. Lydia Katherine Schmidgall, 82, 501 Polk, died at 11:55 a.m. Monday at RestMor Nursing Home where she had been a patient since May 22.

Services were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Ludwig Mortuary and at 10 a.m. in the Apostolic Christian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wurtenberg, Germany, [sic] July 3, 1887, to Christian and Katherine Wagner Dallinger. She came to the United States in 1910 and settled in the Morton area. She was married March 30,1911, in Peoria, to Fred Schmidgall. He died Feb. 22, 1965.

Surviving are seven sons, Clarence and Irvin, both of Morton, Elmer of East Peoria, William, Ben and Harry, all of Tremont, and Sam of Eureka; three daughters, Mrs. Fields (Lydia) Mooberry, Mackinaw; Mrs. Howard (Irene) Musselman, Pekin, and Mrs. Lester (Ruth) Martin, El Paso; 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A son, three brothers, and five sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Schmidgall was a member of the Morton Apostolic Christian Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church Home for the Handicapped.
