Born in Schooley's Mountain, NJ, age 94 - former owner of the Gladstone Hotel. She leaves a dtr from a previous marriage (to a Petty) - Mabel Blair (wife of Oscar) and a grandson - Jack Jordan(died 2005).

She supposedly sold what was left of 'family farm' in NJ.

Gladstone - Mrs. Sadie Lamerson, 94 former owner of the Gladstone Hotel, died yesterday (May 21, 1957) (sic) in her home in Maple Ave. after a long illness. She was the wife of Alva Lamerson.
Born in Schooley's Mountain, Mrs. Lamerson had lived in Gladstone 64 years. She bought the local hotel in 1893, and sold it in 1900 to the Vliet family, whose members still operate it.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Lamerson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Blair, at home; a grandson Jack Jordan of Schooley's Mountain, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Bailey Funeral Home, Peapack. Canon L.I. Greene, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Gladstone will officiate. Interment will be in the Congregational Cemetery, Chester.
