Mrs. Mary Gordon, wife of George Faulkner, died at her home on the Scotchtown road, Saturday, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Faulkner was born and grew to womanhood in Cuddebackville, May 16, 1850, being the daughter of Cornelius Gordon and Maria Griffin. Subsequently and until her marriage in 1873, she lived in the home of Jesse W. Canfield, when he resided at Mt. Hope, to the occupants of which home she so endeared herself that she seemed as one of the family.

Since her marriage, Mrs. Faulkner has lived in the vicinity of Middletown. She was a member of the Scotchtown Church. Surviving her are the following children: Flora, wife of Warren Curtiss, of this city; Louise Canfield, wife of Frank Brown, of Mechanicstown; George, William and Stanley, at home. Stanley attends the High School in this city.

Her unselfish devotion to her household as also her helpful ministries which were given without stint to her friends and neighbors, have left for her a good name not soon to be forgotten.

The funeral will be held at the late home, Tuesday, at one o'clock, Rev. Dr. E. Van Dyke Wight, officiating.

These brothers and sisters also survive Mrs. Faulkner: Alfred and Stoddard Van Inwegen, of Cuddebackville; Jane, wife of George Baker, of Port Jervis; Henrietta, wife of Irving Avery, of Monticello; Job, of Brooklyn, and Myra, at Washington D. C.
