Funeral rites for Mrs. Charles C. Bruechet, 77, were held from the Peterson Funeral Home on Saturday, March 21, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Clifford R. Channer officiated at the service. Mrs. Bruechet, who had suffered from a heart condition for several years, died 19 March at her home in Wilmar. Grace Florence Hawk was born 14 February 1882 at Benson, IL, to the late Alexander and Mary Hawk. She grew to womanhood in Illinois and also taught school there prior to her marriage. She was united in marriage to Chas. C. Bruechet, 10 February 1909 in Chicago, Illinois. The couple resided in Illinois until 1916, when they moved to Minnesota, farming in the Sacred Heart and Atwater communities. They moved to Wilmar in 1926, where Mrs. Bruechet resided until her death. Mr. Bruechet preceded her in death in Sep 1954. They were the parents of three children, namely: Mrs. Donald (Vera) Bloomberg of Wilmar, Stanley and Kenneth, both deceased. Surviving besides the daughter are several nieces and nephews in Illinois and Indiana. Acting as Pallbearers were Clarence Monson, Glenn Person, Arthur Caine, Bruce Elshire, Lennart Anderson, and E. G. Harris. Special music was furnished during the funeral rites by Mrs. R. E. Peterson. Burial was held at the Cloverleaf Memorial Cemetery. Attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kolb, Benson, IL; Mrs. John Ryan, Minonk, IL; besides friends from Atwater, Kandiyohi, and Wilmar.
