Ashville- Funeral services for J.D. Baswell, 52, Ashville, will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Revs. George Williams and Jim Coleman officicating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Baswell died May 14 in an Oneonta Hospital after an illness of about two weeks.

Pallbearers will be Fred Baswell, Paul Bearden, Edward Baswell, Sonny Little, Jack Baswell and Wayne Dodd.

Survivors include four brothers, Walter, Homer, J.F. and L.A. Baswell, all of Ashville;four sisters, Mrs. T.C. Dodd and Mrs. Ollie Sheffield of Ashville, Mrs J.B.Hopkins of Birmingham and Mrs. Olivia McNeal of Huntsville;and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Baswell was a native of St. Clair County. He worked as a barber.

The body will remain at the residence of his brother, Homer Baswell until the hour of service.
