Alcine L. Nugent, age 94, of Centerpoint entered eternal rest Friday, February 3, 2006 in Oak Haven Nursing Home, Centerpoint.
She was a homemaker. She worked side by side with her husband for many years at Nugent Grocery, Winnfield. She loved going to church and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a longtime and accomplished harmonica player. She loved people and had many friends and she was always plain spoken. She loved her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter T. Nugent; one son, Walter Vernon Nugent, Sr.; her parents, Dick and Ida Lincecum; seven brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her two sons, Dickey R. Nugent of Rapides Station and Gary D. Nugent of Centerpoint; two daughters, Georgia Jean Young and Judy Johnson both of Centerpoint; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Nugent, David Nugent, George Hawk, Mike Clinton, Jason McKeithen and Darin Reither.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m and Monday, February 6, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. till the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
