Frank Louis Kogovsek, April 5, 1911-June 19, 2002. Frank L. Kogovsek, 91, has completed his journey home. Preceding him in this pathway were his parents, Frank and Mary Kogovsek; infant son, Joey; Mary Blatnick Kogovsek, the mother of his children; and his sister, Mamie Pugel. Frank is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Delfinia J. Kogovsek; loving children, Frank (Leona) Kogovsek, Ray (Linda Gunsolus) Kogovsek, John Kogovsek, Daniel (Patty) Kogovsek, Larry Kogovsek and Mary Joy Kogovsek; daughter-in-law, Eulice Kogovsek; brother, Raymond (Helen) Kogovsek. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Plutt, ToniRae (Curtis) Andres, Greg (Clarissa) Kogovsek, Jerry Kogovsek, Jennifer Kogovsek and Ryan Kogovsek; great-grandchildren, Reece, Raymond, Rodney and Santana. Survived also by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Susan and Nick Rael, Charlie Rael, Raymond and Celsa Rael, Bob and Norma Rael, John and Shirley Rael, John and Lou Loomis, Andy and Cordie Mantua, Larry and Mabel Rael, Juanita Blatnick, Edward and Gladys Blatnick and Dorothy Perry. Frank worked at CF&I Steel Mill for 46 years (mostly in the Rail Mill Finishing Department). Frank is and has been a member of Saint Francis Xavier Parish where he served as an usher, choir member, Eucharistic Minister and lector; also a member of Holy Name Society, Saint Vincent DePaul Society, Nocturnal Adoration Society, Peoples Eucharistic League, Preseren Glee Club, WSA Western Star No. 16 Lodge and Retired Steelworker's Association, which in 1994 he was made a Life Time Honorary Member. In lieu of food and flowers, donations may be made to Frank's favorite charities: Posada and Community Soup Kitchen or a charity of one's choosing. Visitation, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Services, St. Francis Xavier Church: Rosary recitation, 7 p.m. Sunday and funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday, with interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
