Mildred Jeanette Allen, 72, of the 4000 block of Tanglewood Trail, died Sept. 12, 1988, in a hospital.
Mrs. Allen, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. She was the widow of Carl C. Allen Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna A. Curling of Virginia Beach and Linda M. Allen of Chesapeake; a son, Carl C. "Buddy" Allen Jr. of Chesapeake; three grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Matthews Catholic Church by the Rev. Frank L. Wiggins. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
