LAMBERT, William Joseph
William Joseph (Billie Joe) Lambert, 42, Virginia Beach, VA, died March 23rd in a Norfolk, VA hospital after a short illness. He was the son of Mrs. Eliza Jane Hardin Lambert and the late Rev. Edmund W. Lambert of route 5, Louisa, KY. A native of Lawrence county, he graduated from Louisa High School, class of 1948. He had resided in Virginia since 1948, and was employed by the Virginia Pilot and Ledger Star Newspaper Co. Inc. He was an active member of the International Typographical Union, Local No. 32 and was of the Baptist faith. Besides his mother and wife, Mrs. Thelma Hall Cox Lambert, he is survived by two daughters, Miss Rebecca Jane Lambert of Bluefield (VA) College, Henrietta Lambert of Norfolk, VA and three step children, Debbie, Martha and Joel Cox, of Virginia Beach; one sister, Mrs. Henry (Lois) Fluty of Norfolk and four brothers, Clyde W. and Edmund W. Lambert of Norfolk, Karl W. Lambert of Chesapeake, VA and Cornea H. Lambert of Virginia Beach. Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 26 at 11 a.m. from the Holloman-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Virginia Beach. Burial was Tuesday March 27th at 3 p.m. in Floyd, VA.
