Richard Carter Chandler the second (his father and son were also Richards) was married to Sarah "Sally" Eades, probably in 1798, and they had at least eight children.

Other possible brides, including Charity Cash/Parks are now believed to have not been married to this Richard Chandler (Some have claimed Alcey ("Alice"?) White, but she has been ruled out by DNA analysis of modern-day descendants). Nor is he presumed to be the Chandler who died in Carroll, Georgia.
