Maxine G. Cunningham, 65, of Horseshoe Bend, Rt. 2, Brookston, died at 3:20 a.m. July 3, 1990, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she was admitted on July 2.

Born June 26,1925, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of William and Catherine Zwick Jenkinson. Her marriage was on July 14,1945, in Battle Ground, to Duane R. Cunningham, who survives.

She graduated from St. Francis Academy in Lafayette. She worked several years on the election board in Tippecanoe Township. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Monticello; the church Altar A Rosary Society; VFW Auxiliary, Monticello; and American Legion Auxiliary, Delphi.

Surviving with her husband are one son, Robert L. Cunningham Sr., Chesterton, Md.; a daughter, Sharon Workinger, Rt. 1, Delphi; her stepmother, Carrie Jenkinson, Lafayette; a sister, Betty J. Cook, Lafayette; three , half-sisters, Marilyn Sanchez, Lafayette; Joyce Ervin, Otterbein; and Ginger Klimisch, Union Lake, Mich.; a half-brother, William Jenkinson, Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.

Services were Friday at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with Father James R. Goodrum officiating. Burial was in Battle Ground Cemetery. Horn Funeral Home was
in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.
