Ida Riggan, 78, Dies At Home.
Ida Rose Clark Riggan, 78, died at her home at 1145 Bannock St. in Idaho Falls Saturday at 9:30 a.m. of a heart attack.
She was born at Clarkston, Utah, March 28, 1885, the daughter of James I. and Annie Thompson Clark. She attended school at Benson Ward in Utah until she was 10. At that time her parents moved to Newdale, Idaho, where they farmed. She continued her schooling in Teton.
She married Edmond Frank Riggan at St. Anthony in October, 1901. Her husband drove the stage coach from St. Anthony to Victor for three years. They later moved to Hayden, where he continued to operate a stage line. Then they moved to Chapin and made their home there for 47 years where they engaged in cattle ranching. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1947. He died in 1952.
She is survived by three sons, Quinn Riggan, Lemai, Clark Riggan, Baker, Carl Riggan, Jackson, Wyo.; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Winifred) Kirkham, Ashston, and Mrs. Stanley (Bette) Walker, USAF Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, A Clark, Lakewood, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Tom (Vona) Richman, Idaho Falls: eight grandchildren and nine great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one child who died at birth.
Funeral services will he held at the Victor LDS Chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Bishop Dale Marcum officiating. Burial will be in the Victor Cemetery. Friends may call at the Robert Bean Funeral Home in Driggs Monday until 10 p.m. and at Victor LDS Chapel from non until time of service Tuesday.
