LOCAL WOMAN'S MOTHER DIES
Mrs. Ida Mae Sherill, 84, of Era, died at 3 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 1970 in Gainesville Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Sherrill, born August 21, 1885, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dave Green. She was a member of the Era Baptist Church.
Services were held Friday, February 13, at 2 p.m. in Vernie Keel Chapel. Rev. Claude Farris of Era and Rev. Roy Williams of Mt. Pleasant officiated. Burail was in Era Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, John Sherrill of Era; five daughters, Mrs. Vernon Taylor of Gainesville, Mrs. Rex Alexander and Mrs. Gordon Alexander of Era, Mrs. Johnny Wooten of Pilot Point and Mrs. Leroy McKinney of Dallas; three sons, Johnny and Weldon Sherill of Gainesville and Leslie Sherrill of Era; one sister, Mrs. Delia Conaway of Lubbock; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
