John Anderson Rash was born March 12 1835 in Jefferson county Tennessee and came with his parents to Keokuk Co., Iowa, in boyhood and was married to Mary Ann Glover in same county, Dec. 10, 1863 and in the spring of 1864 moved to Hardin Co. He died April 10, 1902, aged 67 years.
There were four children born to this union, viz., Arthur T., Albert V., Eliza A and Hattie A. Hattie, Albert and his beloved companion having preceded him to that better land. Deceased was converted about 20 years ago and at the time of bis death was a consistent and faithful member ot the Friends church.
Funeral services were held at Miller School house conducted by Rev. Hickman, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Miller cemetery.
