George Edward was the eldest son of three sons of Harvey Deloss and Martha Rich Kellogg. He married May V. Runkle the daughter of James and Mahala Pence Runkel on Nov 23, 1892, at Red Willow Co. Nebraska. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters that lived to maturity. Charles Milton, Alta Mae, Mary Edith, Mont Conley, and Theadore Jennings.

He died suddenly in Chattanooga, TN (tubercular neuritis) and is buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery there.
