Christopher Madeo, 59, of Bell Buckle, died Saturday, July 26, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at St. William Catholic Church in Shelbyville with Father Paul Portland officiating. Burial will follow in Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle. A native of Baltimore, Md., Mr. Madeo was the son of Joseph F. Madeo, Jr., of Bell Buckle, who survives, and the late Mildred Ruth Madeo. He moved to Bedford County in 1972. He was in the construction business for several years until he began teaching building trades in Marshall County in 1978. He was a part-time farmer and carpenter and a member of St. William Catholic Church. He is also survived by his wife of 36 years, Nona Freno Madeo; two sons, Christopher R. Madeo and Robert S. Madeo, all of Bell Buckle; three brothers, Joseph F. Madeo, III, of Murfreesboro, Peter D. Madeo, of Boonsboro, Md., and Richard G. Madeo, of Sequim, Wash.; three sisters, Maria Madeo, of Columbia, S.C., Martha Martin, of New Kent, Va. and Margretta Morris, of Stephentown, N.Y. and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel in Shelbyville, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Middle Tennessee, 319 Bethany Lane, Shelbyville, TN 37160.
