Idell "Dell" Gholson Chambless of Wichita Falls went home Tuesday, May 18, 2010 to be with God our Father. She was a very special person and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dwayne Owen officiating. Entombment will follow at the Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 PM Thursday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. A Wichitan most of her life, Mrs. Chambless was born on April 28, 1931 to Archer Joe and Flora Jones Gholson. She went to school at Holliday, TX. She married Wilburn W. Chambless in 1947 and four sons. She worked for General Mills and Midtown Manor before retiring in 1997. She was baptized at Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn W. Chambless; two sons, Ronnie W. Chambless and Lonnie P. Chambless; granddaughter, Kerry Ann Chambless; brother Ray Gholson; sister Laverne Fouts; parents, Archie and Flossie Gholson; a dear friend, Harry Burson. Survivors include two sons, Donnie Chambless and Toby Chambless; two sisters, Bonnie Elliott and Margie Nowell, two brothers, Mike Gholson and Clifford Gholson; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; her soul mate for the last 14 years, Tony Robledo and daughters Victoria and Stacy. The family would like to thank Rachel Wiseman, Billy Joe Godfrey, Mandy Rodgers and the Angels of American Hospice for their care of our loved one. Memorials...
