Mr. Wheat was employed with Texas Electric Service Company, Graham office before his transfer to Fort Worth in 1947. He served in the TESCO public relations department.
Mr. Wheat was a veteran of World War II. He attended Graham High and entered the US Army in 1943. Mr. Wheat trained at Sheppard Field, Gulfport, Miss., and Buckingham, Fla. He served in the USA and was honorably discharged in 1946.
Survived by his wife; two sons - Donnell H. Wheat and David Wheat; his parents - Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wheat; one sister - Mrs. Ridley Garrett; one brother - Audrey Wheat.
