Fred immigrated to America as a small boy and became a carpenter. He died of a stroke while working in his carpenter shop in Assumption, Illinois at age 79. Fred was survived by his wife, three sons (Louis, Harry and Lee), a brother named Simon, a sister named Mrs. Elizabeth Turgeon and another brother and sister in Nebraska.
