U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Son of Eugene & Orpha Scott.

Raymond G. Scott, 74, of 1007 S. Main St. died Saturday at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo after a six month illness.

He was born Nov. 23, 1922, in Norwalk, to the late Eugene R and Orpha(Knisely) Scott. He was a retired conductor for the Nickel Plate Railroad. He was a member of the American Legion of Willard and Bellevue, VFW posts of Willard and Bellevue, Eagles of Willard, and Order of Owl's Nest, Plymouth. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his step-son Glen Weaver of Norwalk; son Bill Scott of Norwalk; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildern; brothers, Harrison Scott of Greenwich and Clarence Scott of Sandusky; and a sister, Violet Billett of Sandusky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eluda (Geren) Scott, on Oct 11, 1987; stepson, Lloyd Weaver; and brothers Clifford, Charles and Richard Scott.
