Atlanta, MO - OBITUARY CLIPPING: Mrs. Louisa Perkins, wife of Wm. T. Perkins died at her home March 1, 1898 after a three weeks illness. She was born Oct. 7, 1839 almost three score years of age. She was married to Richard Lamb Oct. 4, 1855, to this union there were born four children, two sons and two daughters one daughter proceeded her to that better world 16 years ago. She married Wm. Perkins Jan 7, 1868. to this union there were born six children four sons and two daughters. One daughter died in infancy. Sister Perkins professed religion and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church her profession as a wife, mother and neighbor she let her Christianity be felt. A good woman in ripe old age has been called home. The sorrowing companion and children weep not as those who have no hope for "blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ which according to his abundant mercy both begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance incompatible and undefiled and that fadeth not away reserved in heaven for you who are kept by the power of God through faith unto Salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. The funeral services were conducted by the writer after which the her remains were intered in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. L. C. Maggart, pastor of the M. E. Church South.
