Lillian M. Harmon, 83, of Tarentum died Tuesday (Oct. 10, 2000) at 11:47 a.m. at the Tandem Health Care Center of Cheswick, Indiana Township, where she had been a patient for two months. She was born April 14, 1917, in Brockway, and lived in Tarentum most of her life. A 1935 graduate of Har-Brack High School, she was an administrator at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison, for a number of years. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Tarentum, where she was a member and past president of the Women's Association, former Clerk of Sessions and Sessions member. Mrs. Harmon also was chairperson of the committee responsible for placing "The Cross on the Hill" in Braeburn Heights, Lower Burrell. Mrs. Harmon is survived by a son, Larry P. Harmon of Charlotte, N.C.; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Arthur Emanuelson of Natrona Heights; and three sisters, Jean Kozier of Monroeville and Mrs. Glenn (Elvira) Boyer and Beverly Dixon, both of Cheswick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Blaine Harmon; her parents, Herbert L. and Lucy Mae Fassett Emanuelson; three brothers, Leonard, Carl and Walter Emanuelson; and a sister, Irene Emanuelson.

Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 10th Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday. Officiating will be the Rev. Reid W. Stewart, interim pastor of First United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Harrison. The family suggests contributions be made to The Women's Association of First United Presbyterian Church in Tarentum.
