Donnie had learning disabilities due to a high fever at age five. He loved the outdoors and especially loved hunting, much like his father. He was caretaking some land in Mariposa County at the time of his heart attack. He was very much a mountain man; down to earth and honest and just a good guy. He left this earth way too young.
