Mrs. Velmon Brackett Biggerstaff, 94, of Forest City, died Friday, August 1, 2014 at Hospice House, Forest City.
She was the widow of John Paul Biggerstaff, and was the daughter of the late James and Laura Black Brackett, and was also preceded in death by a son, Craig Biggerstaff. She was retired from Mastercraft and a member of Florence Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Baynard of Mooresboro; and two sons, Danny Biggerstaff and his wife Sheila, and Ronald Biggerstaff, all of Forest City. There are 5 grandchildren, Tony Baynard, Renee Hardin, Brooke Hobbs, Sam Biggerstaff, and Alicia Beth Adair; here are 6 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, August 4, 2014 at Mount Moriah United Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Roger Hall will officiate. The pallbearers are Tony Baynard, T.J. Baynard, Alan Baynard, Steven Hardin, Dillon Hardin, and Kelly Adair.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Sunday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
