Mrs. Frances K. Novak, 50, wife of Joseph Novak, 234 Alexander Ave., Strabane, died Sunday, Mar. 27, at 12:45 a.m. at her home following an illness of three months. She had been seriously ill the past three weeks.
Mrs. Novak was employed as a tailor for Kuhn Cleaners, Canonsburg, and was well known in the district. She was born in Yugoslavia Jul. 30, 1898, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Koren.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Canonsburg, and of the SNPJ Lodge 589, of Strabane. She resided in the Canonsburg district for the past 29 years. She was married here on Mar. 28, 1921.
Besides her husband, she leaves a brother, Frank Koren, of New York City; three brothers and three sister in Europe, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are being received at the Hinton and Griffith Funeral Home, where services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., in charge of Rev. W.W. Morgan, of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Oak Spring Cemetery.
