Daughter of the late Hugh and Georgianna Kingsbury, Ada received her education in Washington DC, later moved to Detroit, Michigan where she met Matthew D. Bettis and from that companionship, Jesse, Maurice, Ann and Denise were born. Ada also had a older son, Marvin Kingsbury who passed away in 2009, as well as her baby daughter, Denise, who passed away in 1957. Ada was a good and caring person, devoted to her children, and well respected by others who knew her.She also worked for many years at Saint Elizabeths Hospital, retired in 1983. Although long gone from the earth, but never forgotten, for her memory still remains as though nothing has change.
