Funeral services for David Edgar Anderson, 68, an active worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm in Venice Ward Chapel.
Mr. Anderson died at his home here Saturday morning of causes incident to age.
He was born in Fountain Green, Sanpete County, June 13, 1883, a son of James Peter and Elizabeth Crowther Anderson. On June 10, 1908, he married Mary Catherine Oldroyd in the Manti Temple. She died Sept. 19, 1946
He recieved his eduction in Fountain Green schools. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Overton, Nev., where they lived for one year. They moved to Glenwood, Sevier County, and then to Venice where they have since resided.
Active in the church, he had been a teacher in the Venice Ward Sunday School for many years. He was also active in the Sevier County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are three sons. Melvin and Ellis Anderson, Richfield and Evan Anderson, Venice; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jean McDonald, Englewood, Calif., and Mrs. Mildred Robison, Overton, Nev; six brothers, George Anderson, Salt Lake City; James, Thomas and Faye Anderson, Overton; Alvin Anderson, Venice, Calif., and Vern Anderson, Fountain Green.
Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby Mortuary Tuesday until 5 pm and at the family home Wednesday until time of services. Burial will be in Venice Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Primary Crippled Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City
