John was born on 1/15/1894 and not 1892. His brother Albert was born in 1892. Stone is not correct with birth date.

John Milford Burton, Bobtown, died Wednesday at his residence following a lingering illness.

He was born in Wayne County on January 15, 1894, the son of Albert Montgomery and Vie Upchurch Burton, both deceased.

He married Lula B. McCutchen who survives .

Other survivors include five children, Elbert Glenn Burton, Danville, Indiana, Pearlie Miller, Jamestown, Hattie Skaggs and Josie Prows, both of Somerset, and Grace Poynter. Greencastle Indiana ; one brother, Fred Burton, Faubush; two sisters, Eva Winchester and Elra Crutchfield, both of Bryantsvllle; 20 grand children and 14 great grandchildren.

He was a retired employee of the Southern Railway shops and a farmer and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Morris and Hlslope Funeral Home with Rev. Coy Brewer officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
