John Swartz is my Great Grandfather
Born in Bohemia (Austria/Czech Republic) and came to the United States with his parents when he was one year old. They settled in Broadwood, Ill, where he graduated and worked in a coal mine with his father. in 1981 the family moved to North Dakota.
He married Mary Kozojed in 1988 in Grafton, Walsh, North Dakota. After farming a few years they moved to Los Angeles, Calif. He was a man of excellent character, always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors.
