Son of the Reverend Alexander Hamilton Balentine, Sr. (1817-1876), who is buried at Worcester Mission Cemetery, Indian Territory [Oklahoma, USA]. Hamilton's Mother was Nancy Ann/a nee Hoyt Balentine (1823-1890), Granddaughter of Cherokee Chief Tsa Tsi Agi Li George (Major) Lowrey Jr (1770-1852).
