Major League Baseball Player. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-hander was born in Goteborg, Sweden and made his big-league debut with the New York Giants in 1914, going 0-1 in his lone appearance. He was 0-0 in eight games for the Detroit Tigers in 1916 before winning 31 games and striking out 307 batters for San Francisco of the Pacific Cast League in 1917. He returned to the Tigers to 1918 and was with them until July 5, 1919, when he was dealt to Washington for pitcher Doc Ayers. He was 12-16 with a 3.84 earned run average for 239 innings for the Senators in 1920. He followed with 8-10 in 1921 and 4-12 in 1922. He had a 34-57 lifetime record, a 3.85 ERA and 42 complete games in 94 starts. He died in Jamestown, NY.
