BOAZ – A funeral for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Clegg Stone, 82, 418 Brown Street, who died Monday at the residence following an extended illness, was held today at 1 p.m. at Carr Brown service Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Martin officiating.
Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery with Carr Brown Service Mortuary directing.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Peppers, Oneonta; four sons, Hoyt Stone, Boaz, George Stone, Decatur, Charlie Stone, Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Ralph Stone, Albertville; three brothers, Jim Clegg, Opelika, Tom Clegg, LaGrange, Ga., and Morgan Clegg, Wadley; three sisters, Mrs. Ben Elliott, Lanett, Mrs. Eunice Stephens, Wadley, and Mrs. Gordon Mitchell, Glencoe, and fifteen grandchildren.
She was a native of Randolph County.
